Ondi app icon

A hands-free way to get things done on your computer.

We're building Ondi, an AI assistant you wake with your voice—just say “Hey Ondi.” Talk through a question, browse the web, or work with email while keeping your hands free, from start to finish.

Concept demo
The user says “Hey Ondi, email Alex that Friday at 3 works for the design review.” The assistant by the notch drafts the email, asks before sending, and sends it after the user says “Send it.”

What we're building

Not just voice input. The whole task.

Most voice tools stop at dictation. We're designing an assistant that takes you from a spoken goal to a finished result—across the everyday things you'd normally do with a keyboard and mouse.

If you'd do it with a keyboard and mouse, the goal is that you can just say it.

  • “Open Slack and message the team”
  • “Scroll down”
  • “Click Sign in”
  • “Rename this file to Q3 report”
  • “Switch to Safari”
  • “Fill in this form with my details”
  • “Read this page aloud”
  • “Undo that”
  • “Move these screenshots to a new folder”
  • “Zoom in”
  • “Make this paragraph shorter”
  • “Find the PDF Alex sent last week”
  • “Add lunch with Sam on Friday”
  • “Copy this into my notes”
  • “Close this tab”
  • “Summarize this document”
  • “Turn the volume down”
  • “Search for flights to Tokyo”
  • “Start a new chat”
  • “Stop”

A few examples, start to finish

Example · Email

Email without the busywork

You say“Read my latest email and draft a short reply saying Friday works for me.”
  1. Read
  2. Summarize
  3. Draft
  4. Confirm & send

Read, draft, and revise through conversation—not a chain of tiny clicks. Sending always waits for your explicit OK.

Example · Web

Browse the web by talking

You say“Compare three options and tell me which one best fits my budget.”
  1. Search
  2. Open pages
  3. Extract
  4. Summarize

Research a question, explore results, and ask follow-ups without bouncing between keyboard, mouse, and chat.

Example · AI chat

Keep talking to your AI

You say“Let’s continue our plan, then start a separate conversation about the next idea.”
  1. Continue
  2. Interrupt
  3. New chat
  4. Switch

Natural back-and-forth, plus conversation control by voice—so “new chat” actually means a new chat.

Wake by voice

Start with a wake phrase instead of hunting for a button.

Always know the state

Listening, thinking, working, or waiting on you—shown on screen and spoken aloud.

You confirm what matters

Sending, deleting, or anything with consequences needs a clear spoken yes.

Interrupt and recover

Say “stop” anytime. If something fails, hear what happened and what you can do next.

These are our design goals for the first version. Capabilities will be confirmed as the prototype is tested.

Why hands-free-first

Voice-enabled isn't the same as hands-free.

Plenty of tools accept voice. Hands-free-first means the core flow—start, act, confirm, recover—is designed to work without your hands.
